Incident at Grange Dene Yard - Thursday 16th March 2007

Grange Dene

A wagon delivering to Waites' bakery blocked Grange Dene Yard yesterday. No vehicles were able to get in or out of the Medical Centre until they had finished their delivery. As the wagon tried to negotiate a turn out of Grange Dene Yard - in the direction of Hebden Bridge the back end of the wagon hit the side of a mini cooper belonging to the hairdresser. There was quite a bit of damage.

Grange Dene Yard

Grange Dene Yard is the small access road leading to the Medical Centre. Grange Dene Yard is owned by the traders and residents each side of the yard. Clamping is in operation at the Medical Centre. There are suggestions from local people that the original access to Broadbents Foundry (where the new Medical Centre is sited) was by the road at the side of the Post Office and not by Grange Dene Yard. Heated discussion surrounds the "Clamping in Mytholmroyd" situation. It has been suggested that this is the longest discussion thread ever to be seen on the Hebweb. A petition is in circulation for concerned patients and carers to sign.
