1 Aspinall Street - Ted Hughes - 21st June 2008 1 Aspinall Street, birthplace of Ted Hughes has been transformed into a writer's retreat and holiday home. The house was officially opened and the plaque outside the house unveiled at 10.30am today by fellow poet Simon Armitage, patron of The Elmet Trust.
Eric Alston, Chair of Royd Regeneration spoke of all the hard work done getting this project off the ground and thanked everyone concerned.
