A new opportunity for voluntary and community groups in Calderdale
Have you heard what's happening?
Join us for the launch of Calderdale VOICE (Voluntary Organisations Involved in Community Education)
Now local community and voluntary groups have a real reason to shout.
On Wednesday 19 March from 11am to 2pm in The Shibden Rooms at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax, we're spreading the word about a new opportunity for groups in Calderdale.
The day marks the launch of Calderdale VOICE (Voluntary Organisations Involved in Community Education) which will link together local groups and organisations involved in delivering learning. It will help to tackle social disadvantage, regenerate communities and improve community cohesion. It will also give Calderdale better access to funds available for education.
It's the perfect opportunity to talk to others groups in the area and find out more about what learning opportunities Calderdale has to offer. On the day there will be:
11.00am - displays and stalls
11.30am - introductory speeches
12.00noon - lunch
Then there will be live entertainment until 2pm
(Child care will be available if booked in advance, but hurry places are very limited. Please contact the number below before 10 March if childcare is needed)
Help with travel arrangements can be made for those with mobility problems or those living at a distance.
Contact Clare on the number below for details. Travel costs to the event can be met on production of a valid ticket on the day. If you're involved in a community or voluntary group in Calderdale please feel free to bring both staff and learners along. It would be a great help if you could let us know how many people will be attending from your organisation.
