Hebden Bridge Arts Festival Limited HEBDEN BRIDGE ARTS FESTIVAL TO HOLD OPEN MEETING IN MYTHOLMROYD PRESS RELEASE Hebden Bridge Arts Festival wants ideas for events in Mytholmroyd during next Summer's Festival. Everyone who lives or works in the village is invited to an Open Meeting on Thursday 20 November, starting 8pm at St Michael's Sunday School (Church Hall), Church Street, Mytholmroyd. The Festival welcomes the growing interest there is in staging more arts performances and exhibitions in Mytholmroyd. To make these happen though, the Arts Festival needs Mytholmroyd based volunteers to help organise and steward events, to look after visiting artists, and to distribute publicity. Mytholmroyd poet, Tony Langham said: "The Storytelling and Poetry by Royd Wordsmiths this Summer was the first Arts Festival event in Mytholmroyd for some time. For next year's Festival, we’ve already had ideas from Mytholmroyd for Digital Arts, a performance by local bands and Fire Walking! We hope this Open Meeting will lead to the biggest ever Arts Festival programme in Mytholmroyd in 2004 with Mytholmroyd people making it happen." People who can't come to the meeting are welcome to phone ideas for events, or offers of help to the Festival on 842684 or e-mail: Hebden Bridge Arts Festival FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT PETE KEAL ON 01422 885211 Patrons A Company Limited by Guarantee - Registered in England No. 3520619 Registered Charity No. 1070600 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | |
