Does any have any information on the Iron foundry in Burnley Rd owned by Thomas Henry pickles and then his son. Do you know if there are still any living relatives?

Hello, I have discovered this page on the net after "searching" my fathers name. His family (both mother and father) are from the Calder Valley area. My dad's name is Jack Uttley. I was very excited to read about your local historian of the same name. I do wish to find out more about family history on behalf of my father. Would a local historical society in your area have a web page of their own? Any guidance would be appreciated - thanks!

Hi How are you? I'm writing from the other side of the world, Australia. Our family originally hails from Mytholmroyd (Banksfield Crescent to be more precise). I'm wanting to get in contact with any one that may remember the Redfern's of Banksfield (1940's-1950's). Please contact me. Cheers!

I am researching family history and have a photo of Field House, Mytholmroyd where my great grandmother's daughter, annie (sayles) Price lived in the late 1800's. Her husbands name was Charles Price and they had 3 children, Edna, Malcolm and Cyril. Cyril died,Oct, 1932,age 19 and was interred at St.Paul's Church. Little Marsden. When Annie Sayles family, (Phillip and Mary Ann Sayles) came to Canada she stayed in England. Any suggestions on where/how to add to my research would be appreciated,

I'm looking for information on the old farmhouse (I believe to be 11th century) Its location: as you are leaving Mytholmroyd, heading towards Hebden Bridge, there's the petrol station, then a playing field, and a couple of hundred yards further along there's a cobbled lane that leads to a bridge over the canal. Following this track it snakes back on itself and enters the farmyard. Over the centuries the buildings have been rebuilt. It overlooks the canal, and the Blenders & Slitherers

Hi to you all just found your excellent website whilst looking for my son. Hope someone out there may be able to help me. His name is Christopher Carl Robin Steadman (he may have had to use the surname Farrington) D.O.B. 15.09.1981. He lived in Mytholmroyd around the late 1980s maybe 90s & his stepfather tells me he was a pupil of Calder High. He did try to visit me in the 90s but I was away in Hungary & haven't heard since. I would love to know his whereabouts now & for him to make contact if he wishes to do so. I can be contacted by email though I only have access at weekends. Any recent news from his friends would be welcomed or if he is still in the area from himself
