BT have contacted the Mytholmroyd.net to say that they have had problems with the distributors of the leaflets. This is nationwide not just our exchange. Following their press release in the Hebden Bridge Times last week they have invited us to re-order the leaflets but say it could take 3/4 weeks to process them. That's too long for us to just sit and wait... although we have ordered them. Can we keep things moving by persuading and/or helping our friends, relatives and neighbours to register an interest. Current registrations of interest stand at 358 (30.8.2003) We only need another 142.
Chris McCafferty is supporting the Calder Valley Campaign and has written to the Mytholmroyd.net this week saying that she has written to the Chief Executive of BT about our recent setbacks.
Calder Valley broadband campaigners will have a presence at the Mytholmroyd Gala next Saturday 6th September and we hope to be able to assist people to register their interest from the stall.
(3-C) - Calder Connect Co-operative also hope to stage a wireless event at the Gala. All the necessary planning for this is in hand ... but more later.
